Have General 4-H Questions or Comments?

Some of you have asked for a place on the 4-H blog to add comments or questions that might not be related to posts that are on the blog.  If you have a question, comment, suggestion, etc. you would like to share with other 4-H families, please do that on this post.  Please understand that all comments are moderated before they appear on the blog, so there may be a delay in getting your message actually posted.  Thanks!!  Laura

what do the clover kids actually do ?

The 4-H Clover Kids Group is meant to be an introduction to 4-H, as well as a chance for youth ages 5-8 to participate in age-appropriate, hands-on activities.

Is the McQueeney 4H just for clover kids or is there a 9-19 age group?

McQueeney 4-H is serving both 4-H members as well as Clover Kids.

To be in 4H, do you have to own an animal ?

How do I know which club to sign up my kids in?

If we live in San Marcos, can we attend a group in New Braunfels? Could we be involved in both or would that be too difficult or against policies?

This may be a bit late but here's the answer to your questions. You do NOT have to own an animal, there are many, many projects to be involved with in 4-H, not just livestock! There are 10 clubs around Guadalupe County; to find the one closest to you and your needs, just give the county extension office a call!

As for the post about San Marcos and New Braunfels; You cannot participate in 4-H in both counties at the same. WHat I would do, is call your county extension office in Hays County (San Marcos) and ask them that question. They would know better than I would!
