First off, the Guadalupe County Fair Catalog is ready and we have copies at the extension office! They will also be in this Sunday's Seguin Gazette. All of the entry forms for the various contests are located in this catalog. I encourage you to come by and grab one!

One Day 4-H
One day 4-H this year will be at the Guadalupe Co. Fair on Saturday, 8 October.  From Noon to 5, we will set up and man booths that have different crafts and fun things for any and all kids to do while they visit the fair. All of the activities are free!  We will be doing face painting, mini pumpkin decorating, a fish pond, making Grass Babies (Chia Pet type things) and Cookie Decorating!!!  There will be a time in September where we will have to make a bunch of cookies so be looking for that date!  We will also be doing odd jobs for the fair staff during the day to help them out.  All clubs should help with this project and I need a list of names by 2 October so I can get free passes!

Desserts on Display!
This contest will return to the fair this year and give kids a chance to make a dessert and show it off for an award! The forms to sign up are in the GCF catalog and on the County Extension Website. It is limited to the first 20 who sign up so be sure to get it in soon. Deadline is 28 September at 5pm.

Some helpful information for 4-H Registration

If you are signing up on 4-H Connect for registration, be sure to use your profile from last year and not create a brand new one. You can just update your old one! If you cannot remember your login info, please let me know at the office and I will give it to you!
Also, when you go in to pay the participation fee, be sure to click personal e-check, credit or debit card and not the "4-H Check option. If for some reason you have no card or check account, let me know!!! I understand some people will not have a checking account or a credit card...that is ok, we can work with you, just let me know!
